Photographer at the EANS Conference Prague

In the summer of 2024, I was contacted by Petra Koubová from the Society for the Support and Development of Neurosurgery with an offer to photograph the EANS conference – the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies. In short, it was a series of lectures, networking events, and social evenings for future neurosurgeons from across Europe.

We quickly and straightforwardly agreed on the terms, and I was excited about the opportunity to photograph such an interesting event. I documented the opening ceremony at the Prague Congress Centre, a teambuilding event at Žluté lázně, a formal meeting at the Military Museum in Žižkov, an evening networking event at Museum Kampa, and finally the gala evening at Hotel Diplomat, which concluded with a lively celebration.

After our collaboration ended, I delivered all the photos within a week, with at least a few images from each evening already sent the following morning. Ms. Koubová later wrote me this message:

“Good afternoon, Honza, I would like to thank you very much. The photos are beautiful and the people from EANS are full of praise for your work.”

EANS does not take place in Prague every year, but I am already looking forward to the moment when this wonderful event returns again.
